Sonography, computerized tomography and digital intravenous arteriography are important new technological methods in diagnostic radiology of the kidney. Urography is still considered to be a major diagnostic tool. Catheterangiography is mainly employed for therapeutic procedures such as renal arterial dilatation and embolization.
