The sudden cardiac death of a patient with severe aortic stenosis and impaired left ventricular function is reported. At the time of death an ambulatory ECG was recorded. Without prior exertion, without syncope, and without any ventricular arrhythmias within the last hour a sudden ventricular tachycardia ended the patient's life. This case demonstrates that a malign ventricular arrhythmia may lead to sudden death in patients with aortic stenosis and reduced left ventricular function.
