[Treatment and late results of fractures of the distal end of the upper arm in childhood].

74 children suffering from different types of supracondylar fractures of the upper arm underwent conservative and 32 surgical treatment. The follow-up took place 2 to 9 years after the accident. In a percentage of 98 there were very good results of conservative treatment, only 2% were satisfactory.--In the surgically treated group (19 children were followed up) the results were excellent till good in 15 cases, satisfactory in 3 cases and bad in one case.
