The author studied the response of the mechanical stage of the RES phagocytosis and the serum lysozyme level in white mice after fractionated exposures to 10 R and 100 R daily. It was observed the activation of these systems after low summed doses and, on the other hand, its significant depression after high summed doses. The causes of these changes are discussed.
