[Lung resection in tuberculosis in diabetics].

The results of surgical treatment of 201 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis associated with diabetes mellitus (bilateral lung resection was carried out upon 8 patients) are set forth in this work. The operations were carried out in a climatic sanatorium during the compensation phase of diabetes mellitus and the stabilization of the tuberculosis process. The method of preoperative management and postoperative cure of diabetes mellitus using B-insulin together with simple insulin is described.
