Abstract

Experimental and thermographic investigations, clinical and radiological long-term studies proved that the replacement of herniated cervical discs by bone cement has to be regarded as an operative procedure equivalent to other techniques using auto- or homogenous bone-graft. Tissue reactions on the allograft were studied. There is no risk of thermonecrosis at the adjacent neurogenic structures by polymerization heat. Clinical late results correspond with those of other operative techniques, the morbidity rates are about the same. Cervical anterior interbody fusion using PMMA is an alternative technique in the treatment of ruptured cervical discs.

实验和热成像研究、临床及放射学长期研究证明,用骨水泥替代颈椎间盘突出物必须被视为一种与使用自体或同种异体骨移植的其他技术等效的手术操作。对同种异体移植组织的反应进行了研究。聚合热不会对相邻神经结构造成热坏死风险。临床后期结果与其他手术技术的结果相符,发病率大致相同。使用聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)进行颈椎前路椎间融合术是治疗颈椎间盘破裂的一种替代技术。
