[Advantages of catheterizing the bronchopulmonary segments in the treatment of local inflammatory lung diseases].

The authors used the method of catheterization of the segmental bronchi in local anaesthesia for the treatment of localized inflammatory pulmonary diseases (chronic pneumonia, chronic lung abscess, limited bronchiectasis). The peculiarities of this procedure for treatment, its results and advantages are in detail discussed and compared with the commonly applied practice.
