[Fluctuations in the concentration of human serum cholesterol and glucose during the course of a year].

Concentrations of cholesterol and glucose were altered in blood serum of 40-59 years old men during a year. These data were obtained in course of an epidemiologic examinations of ischemic heart impairments (IHI) among the representative contingent of mene in the Kaunas city. Strict standardization of the tests and intralaboratory control of their accuracy were used. The patterns of alterations of cholesterol and glucose content were different during various years suggesting that variations in content of these substances during each year have to be considered in evaluation of efficiency of active influences on the risk factors on IHI.
