[Successful pregnancy after laser surgery of blocked tubes (author's transl)].

The application of Laser rays to gynaecology is a recent development and the use of Laser Coherent 400 is reported at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Kaiser Franz Josef hospital, Vienna. The Laser apparatus was primarily used for the treatment of benign lesions of the cervix. 3 cases of sterility as a result of blocked tubes have been operated on with Laser rays for the first time. One of these patients became pregnant 4 months after the operation and was subsequently delivered quite normally; this case is briefly reported. It is possible that, in future, operations of blocked tubes with Laser will give better results than conventional surgical treatment.
