The preliminary results of treatment of the stenosis of renal artery by the transluminal percutaneous angioplasty (PTA) were presented. 6 patients were treated by the Gruntzig technique, 4 of the 5 patients probably having renovascular hypertension were returned to normal tension 2 to 5 months after treatment. The 6th patient had hypertension with severe renal insufficiency. The PTA was performed for the purpose of the inhibition of progressing renal insufficiency. This patient was stabilized. This preliminary experience show great interest of this technique.
本文介绍了经皮腔内血管成形术（PTA）治疗肾动脉狭窄的初步结果。6例患者采用Gruntzig技术进行治疗，5例可能患有肾血管性高血压的患者中，4例在治疗后2至5个月血压恢复正常。第6例患者患有高血压并伴有严重肾功能不全，进行PTA的目的是抑制肾功能不全的进展，该患者病情得到稳定。这一初步经验显示了该技术具有很大的应用价值。
