An anterior dislocation of the glenohumeral joint in a 7-year-old boy is reported. The injury was incurred when the patient's arm was forcibly extended and internally rotated from behind while he was held in a prone position. The dislocation of the proximal humerus was reduced by gently lifting it into the glenoid, and immediate pain relief forward. A full active range of motion has resulted.
