A case of bilateral osteochondrosis of the head of the first metatarsal shows two interesting aspects: 1. The second time in literature a histological verification is gained. 2. A combination with one-sided epiphyseal undergrowth of the proximal phalanx I inspires new associations to hallux rigidus and similar diseases.
