This paper briefly reviews developments since the implementation of the new Copyright Law (PL 94-553) and reports on a nationwide survey of academic, hospital, and special health sciences libraries. These libraries were asked to report anonymously on their current policies and the procedures used to comply with the new law. They were also asked to indicate any special concerns they have with the law or the guidelines which they have followed for compliance. The results show that with few exceptions United States health sciences libraries are complying with the specific provisions of the law and that compliance has not significantly affected library services.
本文简要回顾了自新版权法（第94 - 553号公法）实施以来的发展情况，并报告了一项针对学术图书馆、医院图书馆和特殊健康科学图书馆的全国性调查结果。这些图书馆被要求匿名报告其当前政策以及为遵守新法律所采用的程序。他们还被要求指出对该法律或其遵循的合规指南存在的任何特殊担忧。结果表明，除了少数例外情况，美国健康科学图书馆正在遵守该法律的具体规定，并且合规并未对图书馆服务产生重大影响。
