[Late conditions following mild anterior tibial syndrome].

Two cases are reported of late condition after mild anterior tibial compartment syndrome often seen by orthopaedists, particularly after fracture of the lower leg. Pathophysiology, causes, clinical representation, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, as well as the therapy of this still relatively unknown syndrome are discussed. Simple equipment for measuring the pressure in the compartment is introduced. The importance of early diagnosis is emphasised.
