The most important immunological characteristic of tumours induced with chemical carcinogens is the expression of highly polymorphic tumour specific antigens. These cell surface components are primarily concerned with immune rejection reactions to these types of tumour, and current evidence strongly suggests that they are related to normal alloantigen.
