The limited resolving power of the human eye is often an obstacle to a clear diagnosis when evaluating X-ray films. The article attempts an assessment of the possibilities offered by the evaluation of equidensity films when comparing X-ray films with tomographs of preparations of the capitular epiphysis of the femur.
