Studies were carried out to establish the effect of a regime of invariable air ionization on chicken broilers at a constant rate of air ions (10000-15000 per cm3). It was found that birds raised under such conditions showed lower mortality and used lower amount of feed per kilogram of body weight. With regard to weight gain, however, the results were contradictory, which spoke of the fact that the tested regime of air ionization was imperfect.
