[Splenic implantation in spleen injuries].

Three patients with splenic autotransplantation are reported. The 3 of them had suffered abdominal trauma and splenectomy was carried out due to splenic rupture. The technic was to suture a 1 cm2 of splenic tissue to the splenic area with 2-0 chromic catgut. The planned goals were accomplished: the viability of the splenic tissue, its growth and the lack of postoperative complications. We believe this is a good surgical procedure the enlarges the surgeon's armamentarium in the management of splenic traumatisms.
