Abstract

Laryngeal papillomata in the adult, similar in every way to juvenile laryngeal papillomas, are not as rare as suggested in some literature. The age of onset is a continuum through childhood to late adult life. Fifty-two cases treated in five Toronto teaching hospitals between 1969 and 1979 are reviewed, and the treatment and complications are discussed.
