Abstract
Normal rat lymphocytes preincubated over syngeneic peritoneal macrophages derived from rats sensitized to tuberculous bacilli and then cultured with PPD showed a cytotoxic effect on sheep red blood cells coated with PPD. This effect was antigen specific and did not involve the nonspecific influence of macrophages.
