Holy Cross Health System Corporation, South Bend, IN, a holding company for eight hospital corporations, was formed to involve the entire congregation in the health care ministry and to free the congregation's leaders from excessive governance duties. A 13-person task force, with input from hospital sisters, gathered data on various multihospital systems in a step-by-step, year-long project.
