An analysis of 14 children from 1 month to 6 years of age who had respiratory arrest secondary to different causes, is presented. All patients except one, had also cardiac arrest at the same time. Main causes of respiratory arrest were neurological diseases and intoxications. A retrospective analysis on medical and ventilation support and management is presented. Evaluation of neurological status with developmental screening test of Denver, W.I.S.C. and Gessel was made and neurological deficit was detected only in two cases.
