[Passive immunization against hepatitis B: state of development, comments and recommendations for clinical use].

A review is given on recent developments in preexposure and postexposure prophylaxis for the prevention of hepatitis type B. The results of various clinical studies applying normal and special immunoglobulins are discussed. Recommendations are made especially for the clinical use of hepatitis B immunoglobulin in postexposure prophylaxis.
