[Sources of formation of the human vertebral nerve].

Variations in the formation of the human vertebral nerve were studied in 56 preparations taken from corpses of persons of different age; the main sources of its formation were revealed. They are: the stellate node, the inferior and middle sympathetic nodes, the loop of the vertebral artery, the vertebral node situating at the entrance of the vertebral artery into the canal. Every branch of the vertebral nerve has its definite sources of formation; they must be taken into account at operations performed in the region of the scalene-vertebral triangle.
