A patient is described in whom removal of meningioma situated on the small wing of the sphenoid bone was followed by haemorrhage from an aneurysm of the middle cerebral artery. The aneurysm was recognized only after angiography was done after the operation for brain tumour. The problem of lack of visualization of aneurysms situated in the vicinity of brain tumours and diagnostic difficulties in cases of coexistence of these diseases are discussed.
