99mTc-Sn DTPA angioscintigraphy in detection of a pheochromocytoma.

The authors present one case of pheochromocytoma which was visualized during renal angioscintigraphy using 99mTc-Sn DTPA. An area of increased radioactivity above the left kidney suggested a well-vascularized mass supporting the clinical suspicion of a pheochromocytoma on the left, which was proved by abdominal angiography. During the operation the pheochromocytoma was removed.
