Abstract
More than thirty monohydroxy sterols were detected in the marine sponge Petrosia ficiformis, ranging from the ubiquitous 24-norcholesta-5,22-dien-3 beta-ol to the C30 sterol, 24-propylidenecholesterol. A new minor sterol was isolated and shown by spectral analysis and comparison with a synthetic sample to be (24R)-24,26-dimethylcholesta-5,26-dien-3 beta-ol [26(29)-dehydroaplysterol] (12).

在海洋海绵状扁海绵中检测到了30多种单羟基甾醇，范围从普遍存在的24-降胆甾-5,22-二烯-3β-醇到C30甾醇24-亚丙基胆固醇。分离出一种新的次要甾醇，通过光谱分析并与合成样品比较表明其为(24R)-24,26-二甲基胆甾-5,26-二烯-3β-醇26(29)-脱氢阿朴甾醇。
