[Progress on the way to comunity psychiatric care].

If surveying the tasks in community psychiatry two main fields can be distinguished: -- the therapeutic team itself: the community psychiatry demands another style of working to connect the different branches of therapy and re-socialization. The team must be motivated to overcome the used style only orientated to the immediate therapeutic needs of institution or ward; -- the social field at all, and here especially: participation of the relationship of the patients in the therapeutic process, contacts to and co-operation with communal services and social associations, public relations to make clear the problems of the patients. This essay is based on experiences made at the daily work in the community psychiatric hospital of Mönchengladbach.
