A method for the surgical treatment of habitual shoulder dislocation is proposed which consists in a partial (1/2 of the diameter) cross of the prescapular muscle and a displacement into this incision of the tendon of the long head of the bicipital shoulder muscle followed by suturing of the prescapular muscle tendon over it. The operations were made on 58 patients. The period of the postoperative observation was more than 2 years (33 patients), more than a year (15 patients) and 10 patients were observed within one year. No recurrences were noted.
