A study, done in a hospital of 200 beds, during 12 months, has demonstrated that the risk of surinfection is coming as well from gram-positive as from gram-negative strains. These strains are strongly antibioresistant. The individual measures of hygiene are one of the most important factors of prevention against the propagation of these strains. The choice of disinfectants and their non-continual use (rotation process) contribute to maintain the density of microbial populations at a non-dangerous level.
