[Necrotizing enterocolitis in the newborn].

The data from the literature and the own observations on necrotizing enterocolitis of newborns as an independent entity are presented. Particular attention is drawn to the complications of necrotizing enterocolitis in the form of stenosis of the gut clinically manifested in the first months of life.
