A short outline is given of the literature about cervical pregnancy. The condition is rare. Just under 300 cases have been described. The most frequent symptom is vaginal bleeding without pain after six to eight weeks of amenorrhoea. The diagnosis is difficult and only seldom made preoperatively. Ultra-sound examination seems however to be of value. Only two cases have been diagnosticated this way and we present a third one. Our case is further remarkable in that bleeding was controlled without hysterectomy.
