Pneumocele of the maxillary sinus.

Since 1974, four cases of pneumocele of the maxillary sinus have been reported. An air contained sac, the pneumocele erodes bone and presents with cheek swelling, facial fullnss, or pain. This report documents a case of pneumocele of the maxillary sinus and outlines diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines. Caldwell-Luc with nasal antrostomy is curative.
