This report describes an unusual case of penetrating ocular trauma resulting in the growth of an intravitreal fibrovascular frond, which eventually attached to the lens. Associated features were a retinal dialysis and the attachment of a pars plana tear to the lens. The possible pathogenesis of the fibrovascular frond is discussed.
