A new species of sandfly, Phlebotomus (Euphlebotomus) autumnalis sp. n., described using two males and two females captured at three points in rocky mountains of the south-eastern part of Afghanistan, in October 1977 and 1978. The new species is close to P. mesghalii Seyedi Rashti Nadim, 1970 but has distinct differences in the shape of aedeagus and paramere (males), length of A3, pattern of the pharyngeal amature and number of segments in spermatheca (females).
一种新的白蛉,即秋季白蛉(Phlebotomus (Euphlebotomus) autumnalis sp. n.),是根据1977年10月和1978年在阿富汗东南部山区三个地点捕获的两只雄性和两只雌性白蛉描述的。新物种与1970年的Mesghalii Seyedi Rashti Nadim白蛉相近,但在阳茎和抱器的形状(雄性)、A3的长度、咽部成虫的形态模式以及受精囊的节数(雌性)方面存在明显差异。
