[Closed cystostomy by puncture. Modified translumbar puncture technic for the treatment of single renal cyst].

Due to the frequent relapses in the treatment of kidney cysts by simple aspiration, the authors present a technical variation of the same, which may avoid the use of intracystic sclerosing substances. Owing to the simplicity of the method which may be performed in a clinic, its low morbility and probable effectiveness, we feel that it may be a useful procedure as a first step in the treatment of simple kidney cysts.
