Acta Chir Belg. 1980 Mar-Apr;79(2):165-7.
The author attempts to present some points which seemed important to her or who impressed her at the occasion of a first psychological approach of 25 women having gone through a breast reconstruction after mastectomy for cancer. She mentions the sources of information about the reconstruction possibilities, which have urged the women to ask for reconstruction, the reactions of the partners and the possible changes on the sexual life, and the openings the reconstruction brought them from a personal and relational point of view.
