Pathophysiology and treatment of decorative tattoos with reference to argon laser treatment.

Pathophysiology, psychosocial implications, and treatment modalities for decorative tattoos are reviewed in this article. There still exists a need for a precise, noninvasive technique that will not leave secondary scar deformities. Laser physiology and technologic refinements may offer the best hope for such a treatment.
