Genetic and linkage analyses of maroon eye and acid phosphatase I in Culex tritaeniorhynchus.

Maroon eye (ma) and the acid phosphatase I (Acph-I) system of Culex tritaeniorhynchus Giles were subjected to genetic and linkage analyses. Both loci are linked to the linkage group 2 locus, ebony body (e), and the gene sequence is ma - e - Acph-I. Experiments also revealed that maroon eye is temperature sensitive.
