[Microsurgical technique in tenomyotomy (author's transl)].

While use of the microscope for anterior segment surgery has become routine, and vitreous and retinal surgery is now being increasingly performed in this way, microsurgical techniques are still only applied very rarely in squint operations. Using recently developed microscopes, suspensions and remote control, squint surgery can also benefit from advances in microsurgery. Motivated by first reports by S. Veronneau-Troutman we have been performing squint surgery since 1970 as a microsurgical procedure. Methods, advantages and problems are discussed.
