Trochanteric transposition and joint capsule restoration were used in the repair of recurrent coxofemoral luxations. Reduction was successful in 12 of the 16 operated limbs. The angle of inclination of the femoral head was measured in 10 dogs and found to be within normal limits. It was concluded that, in terms of successful reduction, this method of repair compares favorably with other commonly used methods.
