[Bullet wound of the main carotid artery. A report on a recent case (author's transl)].

The authors report a case of a bullet wound of the distal region of the left main carotid artery treated successfully by means of angioplasty. They emphasize the rare nature of such lesions in civilian life and discuss the problems related to their diagnosis and therapy.
