[Method of surgical treatment of inferior alveolar nerve neuralgia].

It was established in experiments on dogs that after resection of a part of the neuro-vascular bundle of the mandibular canal with removal of its peripheral segment the inferior alveolar nerve does not regenerate. Resection of a part of the neuro-vascular bundle of the mandibular canal with resection of its peripheral segment caused satisfactory immediate and late results in 86 patients with neuralgia of the inferior alveolar nerve. The operative techniques are described.
