PATIENT
A 57-year-old patient with diabetes mellitus presented with therapy-resistant superficial punctate keratitis in his only eye. Finally self-injury was suspected. After unsuccessful medical treatment of three weeks' duration the disease could be healed promptly after application of an eyepad: the patient admitted self-manipulation.
CONCLUSION
In all patients with ocular pathology of uncertain origin, especially in corneal lesions, self-inflicted injury should be part of the diagnostic consideration.

一名57岁的糖尿病患者，仅有的一只眼睛出现了对治疗有抵抗性的浅层点状角膜炎。最终怀疑是自我伤害所致。经过为期三周的药物治疗无效后，使用眼罩后疾病迅速痊愈：患者承认了自我操作行为。
结论
在所有病因不明的眼部病变患者中，尤其是角膜病变患者，自我伤害应作为诊断考虑因素之一。
