Abstract
PURPOSE
We examined the histopathologic features of two hydroxyapatite orbital implants that were removed from two patients.
METHODS
Two surgically removed hydroxyapatite orbital implants were decalcified and processed for routine light microscopic examination.
RESULTS
Both implants demonstrated fibrovascular ingrowth and foci of bone formation.
CONCLUSION
Bone may form in hydroxyapatite orbital implants.

目的
我们检查了从两名患者体内取出的两枚羟基磷灰石眼眶植入物的组织病理学特征。
方法
将两枚手术取出的羟基磷灰石眼眶植入物脱钙并进行常规光学显微镜检查。
结果
两枚植入物均显示有纤维血管长入和骨形成灶。
结论
