Computer processing of client behavioral and psychiatric data.

A computerized database system for both behavioral data and psychiatric symptomatology was developed and successfully implemented at a regional facility for individuals with developmental disabilities. This system provides for evaluation of a client's behavior treatment plans and psychotropic medication by giving interdisciplinary teams an empirical client profile. Differential treatment effects and interrelationships among a variety of critical variables can be easily tracked. Use of the system led to significant reductions in a variety of maladaptive behaviors and psychiatric symptoms.
