Abstract
Capitation payments are becoming a significant source of revenue for many multispecialty medical groups. These medical groups are discovering that financial success under capitation requires proper prospective evaluation and planning, diligent monitoring, and a sound understanding of insurance and risk concepts. The most successful groups will be those that can deliver quality medical care in the most cost-efficient manner.
