Abstract
As revealed on the papillary muscles of the rabbit heart in vitro, contractile function of the myocardium proved to be disturbed in 50% of cases an hour after the infliction of burn to these animals. This could serve as one of the causes of a sharp cardiac output derangement found in these experiments.
