Abstract

Atrial septal aneurysm is a cardiac abnormality with thromboembolic potential; in patients with this lesion and parameters of risk of embolic events long-term anticoagulant therapy is indicated. A clinical case of a young woman with atrial septal aneurysm and low risk parameters of cardioembolic stroke was presented.
