The author discusses which method is most suited for cup reimplantation when there is considerable loss of bone substance. Depending on the amount of bone loss a choice will be made between morcelized grafts or block grafts. The cemented cup with a metallic ring have proved to be more suited to obtain stability and maintain it in time.
